They're coming. Can you sense it? The cold, murderous souls seeping through the cracks of the Underworld? Some of them have already arrived, and are blending in with the humans. But no matter - the world can be saved.
In the country of Theodyre, magic is rare but still exists. Few choose to learn it, but those who do are granted with the wonderful title of Mage. Three races populate the land - the more magically gifted elves, the strong, powerful and influential humans, and the Dark Spirits, those corrupted souls that escape from the Underworld to become a vampire or some other dark spiritual demon. But fortunately, the god here has let angels and demons seep through the cracks of the spiritual plane, also turning a blind eye to vampires that will rise from the dead. (OOC note: More races may be added later on. Angel and demon applications will also be graded more harshly.) Watching above them all is the extremely powerful god of space and time - Izanagi.
Izanagi is special; very special. It just so happens to be that he has decided that the world needs a savior to protect them from the Dark Spirits. So he's decided to play a little game. In the forest of Silvan by the neighborhood of Ravennest, a small one-room cabin sits in a shady clearing. It feels sweet and sickly and smells like death. This is the shrine to summon Izanagi. Once summoned, Izanagi will fight the summoner, but be warned! He is the most powerful creature to ever exist. He is the god in this world, after all. If victorious, Izanagi will retreat to the spirit plane to his castle and wait for another summon. If defeated, Izanagi will grant the victor the most godly power of all - the Above. Whoever owns the Above in the end will be able to tip the balance of the world. So it is a race - will the Dark Spirits get the Above first or will the humans and elves?
Your mission - all character will be required to join a clan; however, undecided ones will be placed in the Brotherhood of the Undefined unless they decide to move. Each clan has seven legions - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and so on until the 7th. The clan leader is the captain of the 7th Legion. So far, only the Wolfkind headed by a one Rioltu Summers and Solarcrest, headed by Ray Ignaazia, are existing clans, but more will be formed and will rise. Angels and demons - who will win the fight, as Izanagi judges the great game from above?
